P-51 Mustang Piston (short variant) Desk Clock
These actual pistons came from Race 44 "The Leeward Air Ranch Special" which had major engine failure in the 1989 Reno Air Races. The P51 these actual pistons came out of would later become the Galloping Ghost in 2010. This industrial modern art desk clock was created using a 1940's WWII Packard V1650 / Rolls Royce Merlin engine piston off a P-51 Mustang.
Piston has been cleaned and blasted to a raw aluminum finish. Piston measures 5 3/8 inches in diameter x 3 1/4 inches tall.
Clock Face is 3 1/2 Inches in Diameter
Machined at an angle for perfect viewing
Uses one AA Battery (not included)
Extremely limited piece. These original pistons are very hard to come by.
Piston style may be slightly different than that shown in photos.
These pistons have been through many battles and will have pitting and war scars. They truly show their authenticity!
