Sold Out - $ 835.00
A vintage, wooden plane propeller from the 1940s! This piece is marked as being made by S&S Aircraft Limited of Winnipeg. The piece is wooden and looks to be like it was a surplus piece, doesn't look used! I have read that a lot of these were made surplus when metal propellers became the norm.
The propeller is marked in a few different spots, the markings read:
- "SS.SS.220.D"
- "SEW.W.1336."
- "D 85 P 61 RANGER 6.44.C5. DEC 1942"
I'm sure these markings and the 8 mounting hole configuration would help identify the planes origin and intended application, but I don't know that info!
CONDITION: Good condition, being sold as a wall hanger! There are scuffs, scratches, and wear scattered throughout. Some small gashes to the wood. The black coloring on the back side has crackling through it. Decals look great! Metal caps have tarnish and discoloration. Will come as shown, so please see photos!
MEASUREMENTS: Whole piece is approximately 85" long, 7 1/2" wide at the furthest points, and 4" tall when laying with the hole facing up.
