Sold Out - $ 2,200.00
HUGE antique 99" WWI era aircraft wooden Paragon display propeller. With brass wrapped tips, with original decals and varnish. this is way too neat to miss out on. Marked on one side hub "Right Hand 8-3" X5.00" (the 5.00 being the pitch) and the other side "702" which is the serial number making this an early Paragon propeller, we matched this the best we could on the website woodenpropeller (Great Site) and the Paragon logo is on both sides, though hard to see under the old varnish, under the 702 it reads CURTISS OX JN 5 (At least it looks like that, it is very hard to read) That means this was made for the famous Curtiss JN4 "Jenny" using the OX5 engine.. Acquired FRESH from a multi estate sale in Southeastern Pennsylvania. Measuring approx. 99" x 9" x 4 1/2" with evident wear to commensurate with age. Scuffs and scratches are seen throughout, oxidation to some parts of the brass, splits seen in the wood near the tops with nicks and chips
