Authentic Wright Cyclone R-1820 / GR-series intake valve complete with its matching valve seat, originally used on aircraft such as the B-17 Flying Fortress and the Curtiss P-36 Hawk, both powered by the legendary Wright Cyclone 9 radial engine.
This genuine vintage part stands 6-½ inches tall, measures 3-5⁄8 inches across with the seat attached, and has a stem diameter of .682 inches. Made from polished steel alloy (not chrome-plated) with a two-metal seat — a hardened steel insert backed by a bronze alloy ring for heat transfer — it’s a beautifully engineered piece of 1930s–40s aviation history.
Perfect as a desk paperweight, museum display piece, or gift for collectors, pilots, or engineers. Heavy, elegant, and full of character — a real artifact from one of America’s most iconic aircraft engines.
